Revised plan approved Feb. 1951
The revised plan is based on
a new system of accounting whereby all previously current development schemes financed from C.D. & W. funds have been closed with effect from 1.1.51, except for a few concerned with public works, the remaining money being devoted to contributing a fixed annual percentage towards the cost of develop- ment work carried out by six of the Government departments.
& W. assistarros Collard'sTM the implementing of the Uganda plan takes the form of block g rants from the Uganda allocation in respect of each of the 13 he ads of expenditure. Individual C.D.W. schemes were closed on 31st Dec.1949, with the exception of those financed from regional, research and central allocations which continue to be administered as before.
A Planning Committee has recently been engaged in an extensive review of the Colonys Development Plan and is likely to submit its report in the near future.
